Come, share your voice with us! We are looking for local talent to show their stuff on the mic at T Bar Teahouse. We host a monthly series every 3rd Wednesday at 117 S. 12th Street in Philadelphia.

Got some poetry, play music, tell jokes (even dirty ones), do magic tricks... you get the point. Step up to the mic at T Bar Teahouse and sample some great tea!!

Experience the world of teas as we sample teas from India, Africa, and China.  We will discuss how various factors such as, landscape, processing techniques, and culture affect the different types of tea produced.
 
Tuesday, January 20th, Tbar is CLOSED.  We'll be celebrating the inauguration of our 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama.
 
3rd Wednesday, January 21st, Open Mic Monologue Slam
7-9pm
Share your monologues, poems, songs, short stories, or skits!  It's fun, entertaining, and if nothing else, you get a free cup of tea!  Call or email us to sign-up.  Or, join the Tbar teahouse group on Facebook and sign up for the event!
 
 
Did You Know...
 

Tea & Tango were once the fashionable trend. 

In 1913, tea rooms and lounges were filled with not only string quartets and trios, but also with tea dances such as the tango from Argentina.  The trend for organizing dancing at teatime is thought to have originated in the French North African colonies.
