Plays and Players kicks off their 2008-09 season with Neil Labute's
"The Shape Of Things". Now, if you have not seen this production
before, I'm sure you will recognize a couple of monologues used. This
production takes an artistic twist without giving away the story and
digs deep into the discovery of the lengths a person would go through
for love and persuasion and also explores and asks the question "What
is Art"? Under the wonderful direction of Carol Laratonda, the cast
including Molly Casey, Scott Franco, Jacqueline Holloway and Ken
Sandberg is engaging and the staging is intimate giving you a more
involved sense of observation as the artist creates and the model
develops. This engaging and intimate production runs for a short tim
at Plays and Players and will close on Sunday. Do yourself a favor,
get to Plays and Players Theater this weekend and watch the art of
creation "Take Shape"!
